How are our eco-friendly wakeboards made?
We have carefully chosen the materials of our wakeboards to deliver the best performance with the smallest possible impact on nature. That is why our wakeboards are mainly made of paulownia wood. Paulownia is a plantation tree and is very strong, like bamboo, but less flexible. A wakeboard does not need as much flex as a snowboard or longboard: it already has a concave shape and rides on water, so too much flex makes it hard to control.
Paulownia is eco-friendly because it is planted to be sold, so it avoids deforestation. The downside is that a paulownia tree takes at least 8 years before it can be cut.
The sidewall (ABS) is made of bamboo pulp, so you get the toughest on the market without giving up on sustainability. The natural fibres we put in the paulownia core are made from biodegradable products found in nature.
Bonding the fibres to the paulownia takes a lot of glue, which can be the most toxic part of a board. That is why we use recycled epoxy resin whose main components are bio-based.
Handmade
Our wakeboards are handmade in Poland, carefully built one by one for the best results. That is why we can give a 2-year manufacturing warranty on all our wakeboards.
100% paulownia wood
All our wakeboards are 100% paulownia wood, because after trying other materials we believe it is the best choice. This wood gives you everything you want in a wakeboard: agility, flexibility and durability.
True Twin
Our wakeboards feature True Twin technology because they are designed for freestyle: the same flex and shape at nose and tail, with the binding holes centred on the board. The result is a fully bidirectional wakeboard.
ABS
All our boards have a hand-glued bamboo sidewall for maximum stability and strength in the cable park.
M6 inserts
All our boards come with M6 stainless steel inserts for maximum precision and durability. They are the universal standard for all wakeboard boots and bindings.
