BeXtreme technologies and eco-materials

BeXtreme is committed to the environment and sustainability, so every material we use has been chosen to reduce our impact on nature. Our main mission is to offer high-performance boards, tested by riders, made with eco-friendly premium materials. We all win.
How are our eco-friendly snowboards made?
All the materials in our snowboards have been carefully chosen to maximise performance and minimise the negative impact on nature. Below you will find every material we use to build our snowboards. The only part we have not been able to make eco-friendly is the steel edge, which has to be metal for the board to perform well.

Eco Wood Core

Our snowboards have a wood core made of beech and poplar strips. It is the best combination we have found to give our boards great flex, pop and strength.
The wood comes from FSC-certified plantations, which guarantees that the trees cut for our cores come from responsibly managed forests.
Eco Top Sheet

The top sheet is the top layer of the board, where the graphic goes. Ours is among the best on the market for strength and quality. We use plantation bamboo top sheets, which have very good flex and strength. We print the top sheet in two ways, digital and screen printing, both done carefully with the best materials so the graphic stays on even if the board gets scratched.
Sintered base

Our boards have IS7500 sintered bases, one of the best bases we have found on the market. Sintered bases are faster than extruded ones, although they usually need more regular maintenance. The base design is made with cut vinyl, as on all high-end boards.
Eco fibres

Our latest combination of fibres and materials will meet all your needs and respect the environment: 100% organic triaxial basalt fibres, made from natural basalt lava, which give the board great pop and stability. We do not use fibreglass, which is not eco-friendly.
Vola wax

The wax on our boards comes from Vola, the pioneering brand of racing wax for skis and snowboards. They have been making high-performance racing wax in Colmar (France) since 1935.
Eco resins

All our boards use an eco-resin made from recycled biomass with low volatile organic compounds (VOC). It is considerably less toxic, both for the environment and for the people who work with it.
True Twin

All our snowboards feature True Twin technology because they are designed for freestyle. True Twin means the same flex, stance and shape at the nose and the tail. The result is a fully bidirectional board, so riding switch is no problem at all.
ABS and steel edge

The ABS is the sidewall that runs all around the board. We did not want to cut corners here, so we chose the one that best protects the board and best transmits pressure to the edges. Our logo and the board size are engraved on it. Our steel edge, which protects the base, is a T-shaped steel edge that wraps around the whole board.
Types of snowboards

- Traditional camber: for advanced riders looking for maximum stability, control and grip. Watch your edges!
- Reverse camber (rocker): for freestylers who want a soft, playful board to surf powder and spend the day in the park. Careful: it is harder to control at high speed!
- Flat camber: for riders looking for a versatile, forgiving board with good flex. A flat camber will not play tricks on you; you will play tricks with it. Also good for freeride.
- Double camber: a combination of traditional and reverse camber for riders who want an all-round board. Great for beginners who want to learn freestyle and freeride.
